Part 1 — Installing the Extension

This is a manual (unpacked) extension — not on the Chrome Web Store. Follow these steps carefully.

Download the zip file

Click Download Extension above — it starts automatically. Save the .zip file somewhere easy to find (e.g. your Desktop).

Extract (unzip) the file

You must extract before loading. Do not load the zip directly.

Windows: Right-click the zip → Extract All… → Extract
Mac: Double-click the zip — a folder appears automatically

Open the extracted folder and confirm it contains manifest.json. That's the correct folder.

Open Extensions page

Click the address bar, type chrome://extensions and press Enter.

Enable Developer Mode

In the top-right corner of the Extensions page, toggle Developer mode ON. Three buttons will appear: Load unpacked, Pack extension, Update.

Load the extension folder

Click Load unpacked → select the extracted folder (the one with manifest.json) → click Select Folder.

The extension appears in your list. Click the puzzle-piece 🧩 in your toolbar → pin 📌 EvoWorld Skins Redirector for quick access.

⚠ Chrome warning: You may see "This extension is not from the Chrome Web Store." This is normal. Click Keep — the extension is safe.

Part 2 — Signing In

Create an account

Go to evohamza.great-site.net, click Register, and create a free account with a username, email, and password.

Sign in to the extension

Click the extension icon in your toolbar → enter your username and password → click Sign In. The extension remembers your session permanently.

Part 3 — Getting & Buying Skins

Get coins

Coins are earned via daily login streaks, hourly rewards, and admin grants. Check the Daily section on the main site.

Browse and buy skins

On the main site, browse skins by character. Each skin shows its coin cost. Click a skin → click Buy X 🪙. Purchased skins are saved to your account permanently.

Part 4 — Setting Up a Skin Redirect

💡 What is a redirect? "When I play with skin X, show me skin Y instead." Only you see the change — other players see your actual in-game skin.

Open the extension popup

Click the EvoWorld Skins Redirector icon in your toolbar. Make sure you're signed in.

Select your character

Use the dropdown to choose Grim Reaper, Pumpkin Ghost, or Ghostly Reaper.

Click an owned skin

Skins you own are marked with a green ✓ badge. Click any owned skin — a redirect panel slides up.

Choose what to replace it with

The panel shows: Show [dropdown] when playing: [skin you clicked]. Select the skin you want to visually see, then click Apply Redirect.

Example: You own knight. Click it, select retroKnight → now when you play as knight you see retroKnight.

Open EvoWorld and play

Go to evoworld.io, select your skin in-game. The extension replaces the sprites automatically — no refresh needed.

💡 Tip: You can have multiple redirects active at once. Check the Active tab in the popup to manage them all.

Part 5 — Managing Redirects

View active redirects

Extension popup → Active tab. See all current redirects with character, FROM skin, and TO skin.

Remove a redirect

Click the ✕ button next to any redirect. The skin reverts to its original appearance immediately.

Redirects persist automatically

Redirects survive browser restarts and are reapplied every time you open EvoWorld. No setup needed each session.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this affect other players?

No. The redirect only changes what you see on your screen. Other players always see your actual in-game skin.

Do I need to own the skin I'm redirecting TO?

No. You only need to own the skin you're redirecting FROM. The target skin can be any skin on this site.

Is this against EvoWorld's rules?

This tool only changes local image rendering in your browser. It does not modify game data, give unfair advantages, or interact with EvoWorld's servers in any way.

The extension icon disappeared from my toolbar

Click the puzzle-piece 🧩 icon and pin the extension again. If it's gone entirely, go to chrome://extensions and check if it's still loaded.

The skin isn't changing in-game

Check: (1) you're signed in, (2) the redirect is in the Active tab, (3) you're using the correct character. Try refreshing the EvoWorld page.

Chrome says "Disable developer mode extensions"

Click Cancel or Keep — do not click Disable. The extension continues working normally.
